About Common Painting And Coating Methods

Painting is an important part of daily decoration. Good painting not only adds color to indoor spaces, but also protects walls. The common painting methods mainly include the following three types: using Paint Brush, using Roller Brush, and spraying.

Paint Brush

1. Paint brushing

Mainly suitable for ceiling, wall, and iron window railing surfaces. Before applying paint, we need to immerse the bristles into half the height of the paint. If you are worried that the bristles may get too much paint, you can gently scrape the edges of the paint can a few times to prevent the paint from dripping during the construction process. During the painting process, it is necessary to clamp the brush handle with your thumb and index finger, and use force from your fingertips to slightly bend the bristles, in order to achieve better brushing effect. We need to brush the unpainted part to the previously painted part. Be sure to avoid repeated brushing on previously painted but not dried surfaces. The advantages of paint brushing are easy control of brushing force, low consumption of consumables, and obvious brush marks.

2. Roller brushing paint

Mainly suitable for painting walls and ceilings, although rollers save time compared to brushes, they may produce different patterns and uneven brush marks depending on the surface or roughness of the rollers. We need to choose the appropriate drum size and avoid using oily coatings to prevent difficulties during the drum coating process. Before applying paint, roll the drum into the Paint Tray and gently rotate it to fully apply the paint. Then move it onto the surface of the object and roll it to evenly distribute the paint. When painting, it is necessary to draw in the form of dashed lines, using M, W, or inverted N type scrolling up and down to evenly fill the blank. The advantage of roller brushing paint is that it has a tactile feel and is very suitable for DIY, but the disadvantage is that the brush marks are obvious, the paint film is thicker, and it is easier to consume paint.

Roller Brush

3. Spray painting machine

Mainly suitable for large spaces, pay attention to covering indoor furniture and debris during painting to avoid getting dirty by floating paint. During the construction process, the spray gun and the wall should be transported vertically and parallel, and the swing speed should be maintained as much as possible to avoid the problem of thin and uneven local paint. Its advantages are smooth surface of the paint film, good texture, and time-saving and labor-saving. The disadvantage is that dead corners are not easy to spray paint and are more prone to collision marks.
